About Me
All reasons and are valid to seek professional support related to your mental health. Sometimes, the longer we wait, the more stuck we can get. Prioritizing your health is a courageous and honest step - one that can lead to the improvement of your self and your relationships, and you don't have to do it alone.
People usually come to therapy when facing various challenges, including low mood, intense emotions, low self-esteem, dysfunctional relationships, stressful situations, unhelpful ways of coping, intrusive thoughts, losses, etc. My goal is to meet you where you are in your journey and help you make changes that will last so you can live a meaningful life.
My work is rooted in a client-centered and relational approach, meaning that our relationship is my priority. Science tells us that a good "fit" with your therapist is one of the main predictors of a successful treatment. I value curiosity, empathy, and safety in the therapeutic space. You deserve to have a place where you can feel comfortable to talk freely about your concerns and feel understood. I also value your feedback so we can collaborate on addressing your unique goals and needs. Through our sessions, I will ask questions to help us identify and explore together your patterns of thoughts, behaviours, and emotions that negatively impact your well-being. We will also explore together your past experiences to shed light on your current issues and their causes. My goal is to provide an individualized treatment that will help you develop self-awareness, manage emotional distress effectively, build strong relationships, feel confident and deal with the inevitable ups and downs of life.
I graduated from the Université de Moncton in 2021 with a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD). I have practiced in different settings such as hospital settings and mental health settings in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. I also completed my internship and residency in a private practice in Ontario. I am a registered member of the College of Psychologists of New-Brunswick, a member of the Canadian Psychological Association and a member of the Imago Relationships North America.
