Dr. Jannie Thibodeau

Psychologist

About Me

Whether you are facing a particular challenge or seeking personal development and a better understanding of yourself, my goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered.

As a psychologist, I am deeply committed to supporting individuals as they navigate life's challenges and work towards improving their emotional well-being. My approach is based on empathy, respect, and non-judgment. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, providing a supportive space where each client can explore their experiences and progress in a way that aligns with their goals.

I specialize in working with individuals dealing with various issues, including anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, emotional regulation, relationship difficulties, and self-esteem. My therapeutic approach integrates evidence-based techniques, primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), tailored to the unique needs of each client.

I also provide psychological assessment services for children, adolescents, and adults. I specialise in the evaluation of learning disorders, attention deficit disorder with or without hyperactivity, behavioral disorders, and giftedness. I believe that a better understanding of an individual's strengths, challenges, and diagnoses, when applicable, can foster their growth and well-being, while facilitating access to appropriate resources in school, post-secondary programs, or the workplace.

I obtained a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) degree from the Université de Moncton in 2019. Since then, I have worked with children, adolescents and adults in hospital and school settings. I am a registered member of the College of Psychologists of New-Brunswick and a member of the Canadian Psychological Association.
